Craigieburn Leisure Centre Redevelopment
E2E Design Group provided comprehensive structural engineering services for the major extension and upgrade of an existing Leisure Centre, transforming it into a high-performance, environmentally sustainable sports facility.
The project involved the addition of two new basketball courts, including a dedicated show court featuring both fixed and retractable seating to accommodate up to 1,300 spectators. Our team engineered the structural systems to support large-span roof trusses and high-load seating configurations while ensuring visibility, safety, and compliance with sports facility standards.
We also supported the design and integration of new unisex change rooms, amenities, and reception areas, along with a structural link connecting the new extension to the existing Centre.
The building envelope incorporates prefinished insulated external wall panels, double-glazed windows, insulated flooring, and roof systems. All carefully coordinated with our structural framework to maximise performance and durability. Structural provisions for rainwater harvesting systems were included to support toilet flushing and reinforce the project’s commitment to environmentally sustainable design.
Through end-to-end collaboration and precise technical delivery, our structural team ensured the centre could serve the growing needs of the community while meeting modern sporting, accessibility, and environmental standards.
